Augustus Brandt, in collaboration with Newlands House Gallery, is delighted to host an inspiring conversation with internationally acclaimed interior architect and designer Martin Brudnizki.
Known for his richly layered and highly atmospheric interiors, Martin Brudnizki has built an international reputation for transforming some of the world’s most celebrated hospitality and private spaces into immersive environments full of character, glamour and individuality. From the theatrical interiors of Annabel’s in London to celebrated hotels and restaurants across Europe and the United States, his work masterfully blends heritage, colour, craftsmanship and contemporary luxury.
During this special evening, Martin will share insights into his creative journey, his distinctive design philosophy, and the role colour plays in shaping emotion, storytelling and experience within interiors. Drawing inspiration from art, fashion, history and nature, his work explores how interiors can feel both timeless and deeply personal.
The conversation will also delve into his celebrated book, My Life in Colors, a richly imagined exploration of the emotional and transformative power of colour in design. Through its beautifully illustrated chapters, each devoted to a different colour palette, the book offers an intimate glimpse into Martin’s creative world and the inspirations behind some of his most iconic interiors. Blurring the lines between fantasy and refinement, My Life in Colors reveals how colour can shape atmosphere, evoke memory and create spaces that feel both opulent and deeply resonant.
