Discover an area rich in wine and food production
Petworth is home to a variety of cafés, restaurants and food shops. Visit the Hungry Guest for a coffee or to stock up on fabulous artisanal bread, conserves, wines, ready meals, larder essentials and fish. Be sure to head to their chilled, walk in cheese room at the back of the store. Local farms and producers supply the Hungry Guest Butchers, and the friendly team is always willing to offer some great cooking tips and recipes.
Sussex is also known for viniculture and many of the very best British sparkling wines come from within an hour of Petworth. There are various wine sellers and restaurants in Petworth where you can try the wine for yourself or arrange a day out to a vineyard for a tour and tasting.
